Work Experience

Martin Pavelic has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and became a Certified Management Accountant in 1999. His professional concentration has been in determining, verifying and analyzing factual matters by the examination of accounting, operating and financial records; and the interpretation and communication of these financial facts along with calculations and recommendations, all in connection with claims under insurance coverage and in litigation matters.

With over ten years experience in forensic accounting, Martin has provided expert reports for litigation matters in Canada, the U.K., the U.S. and the Caribbean. He spent a considerable amount of time managing the MD&D CAT Office in the Cayman Islands following the 2004 hurricane season.

In addition he has spent approximately two years working in London, England with assignments throughout Europe and the Middle East.

He has been engaged in various types of assignments including business interruption, extra expense, inventory, entertainment, accident benefit losses, soft costs and physical damage claims; forensic accounting; past and future income loss cases; appraisal cases, and catastrophic loss services.

Martin has broad industry experience including agriculture, automotive, cable/broadcasting, chemical, communications, computer, concrete, construction, fast food, fertilizer, food processing, furniture, garment, glass, hospitals, hotels, lumber, medical, mining, off-shore oil and gas, personnel, pharmaceutical, photography, plastic, pulp and paper, radio, restaurant, rental and resort properties, steel, tool and die and utility (fossil fuel and hydro electric).
